Rack posts are used to protect racking systems from external damage. It creates a barrier between traffic collision and the racks. The rack post protectors are composed of a 3/16” thick heavy steel curved plate welded to a base. There are three standard sizes available: 12”, 18” and 24” in height but custom sizes are available upon request. The base plate of the rack post is made of 8 ¼” x 6” x ¼” thick steel and has a 5 ¼” x 4” void along the edge which allows the maximum rack length to be 5 ¼”. The 5”W upright 8 ¼” x 6”D x ¼” thick base plate contains 4 punched evenly spaced 5/8” diameter holes at each corner. The rack post is powder coated safety yellow and cured. It should be securely bolted to the concrete floor using 1/2” ø x 4 ¼” anchor bolts. The rack post is finished with a powder coated safety yellow which maximizes its visibility.
